Barnwood Abstracts
Nina's abstract pieces reflect her love of texture and the places where she has lived. The subdued colors harken her British background, while the distressed vertical or horizontal stripes are reminiscent of the weathered barn boards surrounding her American home.
These pieces are made up of oil paint that has been rollered, sprayed and scraped across the canvas. The regular repetitive pattern of the stripes contrasts against the unique individuality inside each outline.
